Thanks to its distinctive appearance and active character, this species has remained one of the most popular snakes in the hobby. Description
Evans Hypo is a recessive colour mutation and a T+ form of albino. Despite its name, this is not a true hypomelanistic mutation. Colour variation within this morph ranges from tan-on-tan combinations to red, white and light brown tones. The mutation affects pigmentation without causing a complete loss of pattern. The eyes generally retain a dark to ruby-like appearance depending on the individual animal. Evans Hypo is sometimes confused with Dutch Hypo, but both names refer to the same mutation. This morph is regularly used in combinations because of its broad colour variation and influence on warm colour tones.
